Das bekannteste Produkt der NLM ist MEDLINE, die umfangreichste bibliographische Datenbank in der Medizin. MEDLINE gilt als medizinische Standard-Datenbank. Neben MEDLINE produziert die NLM weitere bekannte Datenbanken wie die Health Service/Technology Assessment Text Datenbank (HSTAT) oder die Toxicology Bibliographic Information Datenbank (TOXLINE).
